- Booking API: Enabled the voice agent to:
- Create customer profiles (new & returning).
- Apply discounts and promotional codes.
- Handle multi-participant tours and optional add-ons (e.g., airport transfers).
- Booking Modifications & Cancellations: Enforced policies like 48-hour refund windows with built-in validation.
- Google Calendar Integration: Synced appointments and private tour requests with sales team calendars.
2. vapi.ai Voice Agent Configuration
- Natural Persona Design: Friendly, travel-focused voice with context-aware prompts.
- Function Calling: Allowed the agent to query availability, fetch pricing, reserve tours, and process payments.
- Multilingual Support: Seamless English & Spanish interactions with automatic language detection and fallback logic.
- Knowledge Base & RAG Pipeline:
- Embedded tour FAQs, policy docs, and SOPs using a vector database.
- Ensured accurate, up-to-date responses with minimal hallucination.
- Post-Call Alerts: Automated email summaries to sales inboxes and urgent SMS alerts via Twilio for high-priority issues.
